چکیده

Friction stir welding (FSW) of aluminium alloy AA1100 is investigated in this work. The process parameters considered the work includes; tool tilt angle, pin geometry, rotational speed and speed. tensile strength, temperature hardness are as responses selection optimum for maximizing minimization demonstrated using Taguchi technique Response surface methodology. Four levels selected L16 orthogonal array used to perform 16 experiments designed by design software. Aluminium alloys thickness 2mm chosen experimental specially which made up high steel material Stir Welding process. Tool pins various shapes study. ANOVA analysis carried out every response S/N ratio determined main effects plots signal noise plotted discussed. microstructure grain size infl uences strength weld joint. It observed that angle provides very less uence determination during FSW alloy. increasing penetration into specimen will increase a result it leads an temperature.

Welding Parameter Optimization of Alloy Material by Friction Stir Welding using Taguchi Approach

Friction stir welding is used as a solid state joining process for soft materials such as aluminium alloys and also for hard materials like steels. It avoids many of the common problems obtained in fusion welding. In mechanical, civil, automobile, naval, and aeronautical engineering beams are widely used of the magnesium alloys for different applications and that are joined by conventional iner...

Analysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...

Studying the Possibility to Weld AA1100 Aluminum Alloy by Friction Stir Spot Welding

Abstract—Friction stir welding is a modern and an environmentally friendly solid state joining process used to joint relatively lighter family of materials. Recently, friction stir spot welding has been used instead of resistance spot welding which has received considerable attention from the automotive industry. It is environmentally friendly process that eliminated heat and pollution. In this...

Friction Stir Welding Process Optimization: Experimental Methods

Introduction The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process is an innovative technique to join metals in the plasticity field, thus not reaching the melting temperature and consequently the liquid state as it happen in traditional welding processes. This feature of the FSW proved an enhancement of the fatigue behaviour and strength of the joints, leading some companies to adopt the process for the man...
